Privacy policy
Effective date: 2026-10-29
What we store
Your account email address, name, and language preference.
Your Circle memberships and any events or availability you enter manually.
If you connect Google Calendar: encrypted Google credentials, plus stored event titles, calendar metadata, and meeting details, which are also encrypted. Event times and which member an event belongs to are stored so the shared calendar can work.
If you connect iCloud Calendar: your Apple Account email, an encrypted copy of the app-specific password you create for Calendo, and the same encrypted calendar data as above. Calendo only reads iCloud calendars, but Apple does not limit an app-specific password to calendar access.
Encryption protects stored data, but it is not end-to-end: Calendo's authorized server decrypts data when needed to provide the service.
Sharing within a Circle
Calendar sharing is set per Circle and is off by default. For each calendar you choose busy-only or titles-visible. Events marked private in your calendar keep their titles hidden.
How we use data
We use your data only to provide Calendo. We do not show advertising, we do not sell your data, and Google data is used only for sign-in and calendar features. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Service providers for hosting, email delivery, and Google's services process data on our behalf to run the service.
Cookies
Calendo uses necessary HTTP-only cookies to keep you signed in. We have not added analytics.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept while your account exists and your calendars are connected. Turning off an individual calendar for a Circle stops sharing it there. Disconnecting your Google account clears the data imported from it; revoking access with Google may be queued and completed shortly after. Disconnecting an iCloud account deletes the stored app-specific password and the data imported from it; Calendo cannot revoke that password at Apple, so delete it yourself at account.apple.com.
Deleting your account clears your active account data, with these exceptions: other organizers keep their own records of meetings you took part in, and invitation recipients keep their copies. Circles where you are the only active member are deleted along with all of their local history. Minimal encrypted credentials are held only until a pending revocation completes. If backups are used, they expire according to the operator's retention schedule.
You can also request deletion by emailing odataiyo3@gmail.com. Deletion in Calendo does not erase copies held by other recipients or events that already exist in external Google calendars.
Beta and changes
Calendo is a beta service. We will update this policy if our practices change and revise the effective date.
